India renews its support for U Thant House

Yangon, February 27, 2019: U Thant House gratefully received a donation from H.E. Ambassador Shri Saurabh Kumar on behalf of the Government of India.The grant will help fund future seminars and roundtable discussions, as well as contribute towards the museum, educational programs and the conservation of the heritage property. The Government of India has been one of the principal supporters of U Thant House since 2015. Sweden’s support for Education Programs at U Thant House

Yangon February 14, 2019: Mr.Johan Hallenborg (Head of the Yangon section office of the Swedish Embassy), Mr.Nicolas Weeks (Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Sweden), Mr.Anders Frankenberg (Head of development cooperation Sweden's Yangon Office) were briefed by U Thant House program officers Ma Khin Htet Htet Lwin and Ma Su Nwe on the progress in the implementation of the project supported by the Swedish International Development Agency to improve U Thant House as a museum and a place for learning. U Thant House is being supported by Sweden since October 2019.
