U Thant House visited by H.E. President U Htin Kyaw.

On the occasion of the 108th birth-anniversary of former United Nations Secretary-General U Thant, H.E. U Htin Kyaw, the President of the Union of Myanmar, graciously visited U Thant House. He was accompanied by Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw Mahn Win Khaing Than, Yangon Region Government Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Regional Government Ministers, Pyithu Hluttaw Member of Parliament Daw Pyone Kathy Naing, and others. Dr. Thant Myint-U was present to receive the President.


Dr. Thant Myint-U said "I was deeply honoured that the President visited the house on this occasion.  His father U Min Thu Wun and my grandfather were close friends, since the 1930s, and we talked about both of them, as well as about the work of U Thant House."
